The Bushmaster 16 inch M4 Carbine is designed for situations requiring a lightweight, rugged firearm. The 16 inch Barrel makes it legal without permanently attaching the flash suppressor or brake. The 1 in 9 twist barrel is chrome lined for maximum longevity and accuracy, as well as ease of maintenance.

For muzzle flash suppression, a bird cage style suppressor is fitted. A six-position, telescoping buttstock offers light weight and ease of carrying.
